As a whole, I find it very important for all of my tasks to interlink and combine together. This is because if my target audience was aimed at "Indie kids" for my music video, I wouldn't be able to make a digipak and magazine advert including pictures of rainbows and unicorns because that would be aimed at a completely different audience. Therefore, when creation each of my projects, I needed to keep in mind the media conventions to convey across my work- for example use of editing, font and props. The reason I found it much more effective if I were to combine the styles in my main tasks with my ancillary tasks because they all act as promotional tools for each other. For example, my music video is raising awareness for the single which would come out on CD, then my magazine is highlighting the digipak which then leads to them music video; they all interlink which helps in the case of marketing. Therefore it is very important for the audience to get what they expect- they need to be a clear series of projects which people, even those who aren't the target audience would be able to see them and know they connect.
The first way that I made sure all my projects links was through my use of imagery. For example the front cover of my digipak and the magazine are key frames of shots that I achieved in my music video. It is presented in the first chorus at every other beat/ beginning of a new line, my character stuck out her tongue and it revealed to the audience a pill and each time the colours changed. This was done for symbolic reasons because it showed that she wasn't doing it juts once, it was an on going thing, but also that every time it is slowly changing her. Then when creating the ancillary tasks I took these images and then layered them together to form a 3D effect.

Another way I connected my projects was in some of the empty panels in my digipak, I decided to filled them with a couple of images from the music video, more general shots. One included pouring a shot and the other included the tapping of beer cans. I think that all the imagery in my digipak clearly links with my main task of the music video because the conventions are the exact same, some of the frames are revolved around drinking and the main image is about drugs.
In terms of connecting my digipak and my magazine advertisement, it was much easier because I used the same programmes to edit them both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Indesign. I therefore was able to interconnect these projects by carrying over the exact same colour font but also the font style.

The reason I believe that it is important for me to have the same style font is because it is then clear straight away what my style is. I wrote everything at the beginning of my music video (the opening credits) in white font all in capital letters because I found this stood out more, if I were to use the same colour writing in my music video, I do not think it would have been very successful and wouldn't look very good. This is because as there was quite a bit of colour in the background, it would have been too much with the writing in colour as well.
Using the same characters in my works were also just as useful as using the same images. If I were to have gone back to the locations a couple days later with a different person to model and then used that work for my digipak and magazine advert, even though the main images are just her mouth, I do think it wouldn't have the same effect because those of the audience who had come to the market through the music video first they would be confused to who these new people were and to why the original people aren't continued to be shown.
As a whole, I believe that the combinations of my media products have been really successful. The reason behind this I believe I have clearly been able to clearly produce a cohesive set of work which if it was published, the given audience/ target audience who were fans of this song and would want to buy the single would know what to expect. This is also because it wouldn't make a different on what product they saw first it would all have the same effect.
